To keep clients in touch with developments in their markets, Survey & Marketing Services Ltd. has an in-house Data Processing Team that delivers results with efficiency and accuracy. Jobs are processed to clients' specific requirements. Data processing is offered as a comprehensive service in it's own right, independently from market research tests, as well as working closely alongside the Quantitative Research Team.
Small or large scale data entry
Working closely with a local data entry agency, we can utilise both in-house and out-sourced solutions to meet your objectives, timescale, and budget.
Data cleaning
Traditional paper-based questionnaires are checked extensively before data entry or further processing. Computer programs are used to add a further level of checks, regardless of the source of data, to enforce routings, prioritise responses, etc
Data tabulation & analysis

From basic tabulation to full analysis using the appropriate software for the job at hand. The department specialises in the use of SPSS MR's "heritage" software, but also has experience of SPSS Statistics, Snap Surveys, whilst recently IBM SPSS Data Collection has enabled us to provide advanced capabilities in online surveying.
Results can be provided in a variety of formats, including tables in MS Word, Excel, Adobe PDF; cleaned data in a variety of standard and proprietary formats; or self-contained databases for use in IBM SPSS Survey Reporter.
Coding of open ends / text responses
An experienced team of coders reads and understands the textual responses given by your respondents, assigning data codes to represent specific comments or opinions.
The results of coded questions immediately show distribution of respondents' comments, allowing for powerful insight into consumer opinions on small or large jobs.
