Testimonials and examples
SMS completed a shelf test at their viewing facility, Seen & Sound, in Newcastle city centre in November 2007. SMS since then have successfully completed a laundry shelf test for the same client.
A mock up shelf (approx 8 metres long) was situated in the main hall room of this venue, and built to match the current shelving one of the Major Supermarkets. SMS purchased current nappy products, We were provided test / mock up products. SMS worked closely with Client to develop the questionnaire.
SMS then pre-recruited respondents (nappy purchasers), most were recruited from the nappy aisle in the local store, and invited to attend the research for an incentive.
Any respondents who did not turn up on the day were replaced by respondents recruited by street intercept, to achieve the numbers required. SMS interviewed 50 people per day for 4 days (representing 4 legs) to achieve a total base of 200.
SMS then completed their quality checks, and the questionnaires were coded and punched according to client guidelines.

SMS are proud of the relationships we have with developed with all our clients and the diverse range of research work we've carried out for clients both locally and nationally. To Whom It May Concern:
Subject: Reference for SMS
I first came upon SMS some years ago when working in the NHS and the
health authority organised a tendering exercise for some qualitative research.
SMS came top for quality and best for price and subsequently proved to be
reliable, high quality and value for money.
I have since used them on a regular basis for many types of fieldwork
including on street market research, more in depth research biometric
measurements, quantitative telephone surveys and most frequently qualitative
(focus group) research. SMS have consistently provided high quality and
value for money work and have beaten the opposition in tendering exercises
when organised.
I have developed a close relationship with some of the staff who now provide
me with a level of support that would be hard to replicate elsewhere. I have
absolutely no hesitation in recommending them and providing a reference.
